Life is a Long Journey: long way to go...

okeh so i haven't written in a while because i am so busy with school paddling and baseball (for austyn not for me). okeh so let me see after i came back from fall break we got our report cards and i must say mine was pretty awesome! well last year i was doing the worst EVER but this year it went up like really up and i am trying really hard to keep it that way......

so paddling season is back and i miss it so much just that i really have to keep up with my grades like really!!!!!!!! cause like i said i want to stay up at a 3.5 which would be so amazing for me!!! anyways i am so lucky to be a steersman for the varsity team in my canoe club.

my steersman blade is the carbon fiber one with the red, yellow, and green flower sticker and the other one to the right is my regular paddling blade with the volcom sticker = D

the one hiding behind is my first blade that has retired because of injuries...

from november 19-22, 2009 we had visitors form Japan come!!!

so austyn got asked to play on this team called Ehime-Hawaii. this team consist of boys that are 15 years old and younger.... so the Ehime_Japan came down this year and next year.. WE ARE GOIMG TO JAPAN!!!!!!! so our whole family decided that we are going to go to Japan and have a blast with the other families that have the blessing to go up and have fun and watch some baseball!!!!!! there are 2 Ehime-Hawaii teams going up the 15 years old and younger and the 12 year olds and younger, and their families....

the Ehime kids from japan came down and they were so much fun!!! our family friends the G.P.'s hosted 2 boys at there house and had austyn stay with them!!! it was so much fun!!! we got to go over there house and get to know them and have fun and talk story!! we were having a blast trying to talk to them cause we only knew so much and they only knew so much too...

welcome dinner with the 12 year olds and 15 year olds and all OHANA from Japan and Hawaii!!! it was so much fun had chinese lion dance (even though i got a little creeped out from) and had some good food but most of all we got to have fun take pictures and have a great time...

the japan kids and the whole group that came down went to water park with some of the other kids from our hawaii group and they had so much fun!!! i didn't go but we got to meet the 2 boys that the G.P. family was hosting!!! we talked all night long and just had fun getting to know them = D

november 21, 2009

it was the start of the 2 day tournament, we had to be there pretty early to sent up tent and all the other things to get things ready..... but our 15 year olds got to play against each other and they had a lot of fun!

later on we went to AIEA BOWLING ALLEY we took the boys with us and we were having the time of our lives there i will not forget how much fun i had with them!!!! when we got back home we were talking story some more and having more fun just talking about family and friends and trying to talk but we had a friend come and help us translate for us and teach us how to speak japanese hahahaha.. we stayed up pretty late that night but it was a lot of fun = )

november 22, 2009

so i had to go and do my paddling swim test which killed me!!! i had to swim 100 meters and tread water for 15 minutes, it was that bad cause i was talking story and the water felt good but we had to do 2 huli drills before we could leave and it took 2 1/2 hours just to do all of that can you believe that!!!! well anyways we left and got to the baseball field and we were there for a while again and then we got to eat yummy food!!! then we had to hurry and break down the tents cause we took the boys to ala moana beach park but i arrived later on cause we had to wash their uniforms and bring them to the park where they were. so we ate and the boys were having fun talking and just running around and just trying to make the best out of it. i got to talk story with a couple of them for a little while longer and it was fun they really thing girls from hawaii are pretty hahahahaahahahahahahahaha!!!! but it was just straight out fun!! we said our good byes and told them see you in JAPAN!!!!!!!

so we had this huge free time that mom wanted to clean which we all know as furlough fridays.... it is like fun to know that we are getting things done but so tiring cause we are just cleaning cleaning and CLEANING!!!!! and my mom said that i should move my room around cause it didn't look complete, so we moved it around and i got the dvd case and a tv that works (cause my recently broke O_o) it sucked but i got another one YAY!!! and this is what it looks like can tell i like tUH-mAtER yah?????????

i love pictures and paintings by the way....

we had thanksgiving and we spent all day getting everything ready!!! i must admit though it smelt so good and helping my daddy and mommy made me more thankful for them to know how to cook and bake everything cause it was smelling yummy and delicious!!! so we are getting settled and putting the food out and making it really pretty then when we are get settled in to pray for the food and for thanksgiving our power goes BOOM off hahahaahaha we had a candle lit dinner for thanksgiving thought it was pretty awesome and funny at the same time hahaha but yah it was because of the crazy wind......

my mommy gets the great idea of telling my brother if he stands in line for the xBOX he has been wanting to get then he can get it for his christmas present i was like nice idea mom!!! then she says ohhh we are all staying...... LIKE WHAT WAS THAT!!!! i was saying that in my head and i looked at my mommy and gave her the WHATTTTTTTT!!!! look and she was like yups we are going to sleep over the aiea/ pearl city best buy i was like no no no no no no no no i was not ready for that and the power was off so we ended up sleeping over and i just kept saying to myself i am thankful for my incredible family, i am thankful for my incredible family, i am thankful for my incredible family, cause if i didn't i would've been super upset but it worked and i just texted and talked on the phone till i fell asleep, then i here my dad talking to me and we were heading home i was not to thrilled to be awaken by moving trees passing by me cause i felt like i slept in the car at best buy for no reason......... so i go home thinking i am going to be able to sleep in and enjoy my comfortable bed but i get a phone call at exactly FIVE O'CLOCK AM!!!!!!!!! "NIKKI WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP CURFEW IS OVER!!!!!!!!!" it was my friend rei i was like okeh i am getting up so i wash my face and brush my teeth and then she came to pick me up. we went to ward because she wanted to go to this little store called the wedding cafe, it was opening at NINE AM and it was FIVE AM!!!! so i was like ohh my goodness and my buddy is texting me the whole time keeping me company!!!! he is my pal that i call buddy..... she treated me to starbucks cause i went with her and we were just talking and i was on the phone and yah we had fun just doing as we pleased then we went back to the wedding cafe to go and wait for the doors to open and we saw some people that we knew and she was happy that she was first in line and it was pretty crazy watching people buy their lives away and yups hahahaha but we went back to her house to go get some things then to my house to grab some stuff then we went to park at my family friends house the johnston's and walked over to pearlridge it was crazy and we saw some people and old friends, but we just bought food and then she went home we were pretty tired so she left then i ate lunch sat on my aunty thems couch and the next thing i remember is waking up an hour later and going to the other room and crashed for a little while again, it was a great thanksgiving....

the rest of that weekend was baseball games from the thanksgiving tournaments that our varsity team was playing and austyn had a game on saturday against aiea which was fun and after that i got to help score keep the games on saturday and sunday it was fun getting to talk to the guys and having fun at the games and that was my weekend = )
